I also thought that it would be cool to share my story around this type of music briefly.. I think it was around 2014 when my friend linked Eligh's Sidewaydaze album for me, He used to listen some Living Legends and its crew members music. It was my first touch for that genre and little did i know that there was a whole genre waiting for me around the corner. There was a couple YouTube channels which posted underground tapes and tracks (thanks YouTube recommendation!!), that was my source for the music at the time. Fast forward I was ordering tapes and Cd's from Discogs which became my second source for that music and artists. Eventually I found Plankton's mixtapes which led me even deeper in to the West Coast sound... The music inspired me so much (dope samples, honest lyrics or just weird styles) that i started to make beats as a hobby. I made my early beat tapes and mixtapes for myself and friends (I think Ruuben has those somewhere..). One day i was browsing some music again and clicked on a track called Imprints - Soarin', it was track that I had been looking for a long time since i found it from Plankton's My Groundhog day tape. The tape had no tracklist and i didn't quite know where to look. That's not all.. In the end of that track i could hear some guys (it was Moonlit, Ameba and Iwere, also the audio was ripped from the show) saying something about the track/tape, so it was my awakening that some dudes are playing these tracks on the radio and in Finland! That led me to discovery of the Ghetto Tyylit and other dope blogs as well. That's about it...
